As a software company, we are aware of our responsibility in the development, hosting and support of ChurchTools. Our understanding of Christianity guides us to ensure that personal data is handled in compliance with data protection regulations and we adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation when processing data. Our product "ChurchTools Finance" is GoBD-compliant.
We have taken a variety of technical and organizational protective measures to secure the use of ChurchTools. Here is a small overview:
Servers in Germany
Our servers are located in Germany with a Christian provider (Hetzner Online, ISO 27001 certification). Data transmission is SSL-encrypted.
Support acts in accordance with German law
Assistance from our support team is handled with responsible parties under German data protection law.
Text templates for privacy policy
We provide text templates for a data protection declaration.
Documentation of data protection consents
For each user, a record is kept of when and how they have consented to data protection. A data sheet with all stored data on a person can be created at the touch of a button (right of information).
Individual allocation of permissions
Comprehensive permissions management ensures that data can only be viewed by authorized persons.
Two-Factor Authentication
The option of two-factor authentication offers additional security to ensure that only authorized users can log in.
